# Private karaoke rooms for friends
VideoKe at onlinekaraokeclub.com is a private karaoke room service operated by Ian U. Rosales. It is not a public stream, not a download site, and not a YouTube channel. You start a room in the browser, share a short code, approve each friend, and sing from one shared queue.
How a private karaoke night works
You do not need OBS, a public stream key, or a karaoke venue booking. One person hosts from a browser. Everyone else joins with a short code and waits to be approved so random visitors cannot walk into the room.
- Start a room from the home page, or pick a song and choose Create room & sing.
- Share the room code in your group chat. Joiners request access; you approve each person.
- Build the queue from Search, Recents, or playlists saved in Library. The host’s player is the stage.
- When you are done, leave as host to close the room for everyone. Playlists you saved stay in your library for the next night.

Private by default
A room code is an invitation to request entry, not a public URL. The host approves or denies each joiner. That is the difference between VideoKe and a YouTube watch-along anyone can crash. Why VideoKe rooms stay private.
One shared queue
Everyone adds songs from inside the room. You can keep skip and reorder on the host, or turn on guest controls for a trusted group. House rules are in queue etiquette.
Ads stay off the stage
Browse pages may show ads during the free trial. Active karaoke rooms do not. Subscriptions remove ads on browse pages and can raise room capacity — see Pricing.
